Around the world

Well done to the students in Room 3, who took out the best animation award. We almost won the supreme award and were just beaten by a group of year 8's. Well done to all those involved and here is the winning video

This is a breath taking piece of work and I thought that the effort that went into it was amazing - a fantastic wow moment when I first saw it and being able to watch it all in full has been wonderful. I loved the fact that you had an original story as well and you created the entire process. Thrilled that you were nominated for the Supreme award and you did a superb job.

  2. Oh Mr Spice and students!
You have certainly cornered the market on wonderful animations and videos from the beginning of this year, right through to the end.

We really liked the clever stop motion video you put up on your very first day of school this year, using 'The Flight of the Bumblebee' and now this!

Your movie is really special. It has such charm. It is of such good quality and it showcases your talents as artists and storytellers in the very best way. You tell the story very well, with such good expression and your voices sound lovely.

Mr. Webb told us about this animation on Twitter. We followed the link and came to visit.

Many congratulations. This work is inspirational. It shows us what can be achieved.
    With every good wish,

  3. WOW!

    Mr Spice and students,

What a magnificent story animation. It must have taken hours to complete with both the drawing and the painting included. Then to have the exciting story retold by students with great expression in their voices. Finally that background music. I was enthralled from beginning to end.

For those of us who have never created an animation, do you have a post written telling us what we need to do?

  4. WOW Room 3, what an awesome animation. I love so many things about it! I love the layering of artwork, the detail emerging , the colours, the page turning... It is very clever. I love the idea behind it and the feeling and emotion you have portrayed! the best animation award is so well deserved! I wonder what you are going to create next...
